That this album was mastered by X-Fusion gives you some idea of the music that you'll find herein, in other words, a potent concoction of hard, dark EBM that puts the quartet of Hypercrash, G. Diesel, Chainheart & IDK up there with the best of them. Where it scores so highly is in the massive number of hooks that seem to grace every song, making every number an important one & the band's atmospheric approach that gives the album a good deal of depth & by widening its appeal past the dancefloor, giving it greater longevity, too. It's an approach that pays off throughout with a number of standout tracks including the 6 minute 'Attention Whore' which is transformed into one almighty offering that really sucks you in while the way in which the voice samples of 'Deathtrap Circus' are perfectly in time with the rhythms is another nice touch. It's true that any dark electro lover will have heard many similar albums in the past, particularly ones that listen to Siva Six or Aslan Faction, both of whom this album is reminiscent of at times, especially on such tracks as the brooding 'Totes licht', but the fact is that they do it so well you can't help but love the album as excellent track follows excellent track, so much so that picking out highlights is tough as every track has something to offer although 'Wrong Way' quickly emerges as a prime candidate for dancefloor adoration while 'Needle Catwalk' boasts an excellent combination of muscular rhythms, dark melodics & surprisingly infectious vocals that all add up to one hell of a stormer. It's as if the band don't know the meaning of the word 'filler' which is something other bands would be well advised to follow, don't you think?
