If you're at all aware of what the Electric Tremor label is about then you'll already have guessed what this album offers. Yes, it's yet another old skool EBM offering, this time courtesy of another German artist Andre S. While some of the cleverer artists on ET's roster have had the good sense to add something more unique to their sound in order to stand out somewhat (think Ad:key & their seemingly freeform mix of male & female vox, for example) this one offers little in the way of surprises, just 13 shortish tracks (plus a Leaether Strip remix that clocks in at over 6 minutes & seems to go on forever!) in the typical old skool style that you've all heard so many times before & while this is a proficient enough offering there's nothing that really stands out with the possible exception of 'Menschenjagd' which reminds me particularly of Spetsnaz for reasons I can't quite put my finger on (beyond the obvious) & 'Du' which is a pacey little ditty that's as to-the-point as its title with a slightly punkly touch & some similarity to Lola Angst in the quirky vocals which themselves offer a contrast to the gruff, shouty style that is ever present elsewhere. The album's cause isn't helped by the fact that the packaging seems a little on the flimsy side &, to tell the truth, there's not a great deal to get excited about here unless you're a diehard old-skool fan in which case it shouldn't disappoint.
