No, this isn't Marvel Comics' latest super villain but is the persona adopted by one Sascha Windrath, who some of you might remember as Psyclonic Parandroid a few years back. This is a DJ promo release which means the music here is geared strictly to the dancefloor (& which also means I probably shouldn't really be reviewing it but what the hell!) so the fact that the three mixes of 'Manipulator' as well as the 13 minute title track which is the same song, lose their effect very quickly in any other environment hardly matters. I can easily imagine anyone who enjoys such acts as Lab 4 getting into this while the fast & uncompromisingly furious 'H 8 E R' would definately go down a storm at Slimelight. The latter tracks do a better job of showing what AMM is all about, sounding more involved due to the greater melodic & sequential elements that grace 'Antimatterman', 'Embrace The Dark' (which is the best track on here by some margin) & 'I Have Seen The Future' whilst retaining the all-important dancey feel with some pretty potent breakbeats in the latter case. Hopefully this Promo will succeed in getting AMM more club attention which will, in turn, hopefully speed up the release of any 'proper' album which I'm certain is where Windrath's talents will really show their full potential so watch this space....
